EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

BIRMINGHAM AUDUBON SOCIETY

The Birmingham Audubon Society (BAS) is seeking an Executive Director to fulfill its mission of advocating conservation and promoting greater knowledge and enjoyment of birds, other wildlife, plants and habitats through educational programs and events. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of BAS and will supervise the duties and responsibilities of the Education Director. The Executive Director will develop and implement a strategic plan to effectively guide BAS and will be responsible for fund-raising and grant applications to enhance the Society's role and mission. Working with the President and Board of Directors, the Executive Director will actively engage and energize volunteers to publicize and carry out BAS activities. The Executive Director will work with the Board to prepare annual budgets and will oversee financial expenditures. The position reports to the President of the Board of Directors.  The starting annual salary will range from 40 - 50K, commensurate with abilities and experience.  Interested candidates should submit a resume or c-v via email to Hans Paul, President BAS (click here to send an email to Hans).
