Discover What Teachers in 150,000 Classrooms Already Know
Audubon Adventures is Audubon's flagship environmental education classroom program that engages the next generation of Americans who will be the stewards of America's natural treasures-our streams and wetlands, forests and prairies, rivers and oceans. Audubon Adventures helps 3rd through 5th graders form positive attitudes about nature. Audubon Adventures covers topics and themes that are important to Birmingham Audubon's mission in a way that supports education and teachers .
This award-winning program comes to you packaged as a classroom kit that contains a teacher guide and 32 copies of the 4 issues of the Audubon Adventures newspaper. Every child receives a copy of each newspaper! It is easily implemented and can be integrated into the Alabama Reading Initiative program. Since the program began in 1984, over 7 million school children nationwide and thousands in the Birmingham area have enjoyed Audubon Adventures. Last year Birmingham Audubon sponsored 100 classrooms.
