68th Birmingham Audubon Annual Banquet

December 4, 2014
Birds & Climate Change: Conservation Status of North American Birds
Protective Life Corporation Main Campus

Gary Langham, Chief Scientist for National Audubon Society, is the featured speaker at the 2014 Annual Banquet. Langham, a birder since childhood, led the team of Audubon ornithologists reporting in September that 314 of the 588 bird species in North America are at risk due to climate change. The report was based on a seven-year investigation of 40 years of historical climate data, U.S. Geological Survey’s North American Breeding Bird Survey and Audubon’s Christmas Bird Count. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Protective Life Corporation, the event will take place at the company’s main campus on Highway 280 in the Grand Bay Dining Room. Reception with cash bar begins at 6:00 p.m. Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. with the program following. Complete your online registration here.
